My Modalities

I offer a range of treatments designed to help restore balance, alleviate pain, and support your body’s natural healing processes. Each modality is tailored to your unique needs, with an emphasis on holistic care and individualized treatment.

Bodywork

In Chinese Medicine, structure and function are inseparable. We say, “where energy goes, form follows.” When the flow of energy is restricted, the body’s structure can change—and when structure is restricted, pain and dysfunction often follow.

Think of the body like a stream: flowing water shapes the land, but a blockage disrupts both flow and form. Bodywork helps remove these blockages and restore balance.

Pain is often a sign of impaired flow. Techniques such as TuiNa, Shiatsu, Cupping, Gua Sha, joint manipulation, and gentler methods like craniosacral therapy work to release restriction, improve circulation, and support overall health.

  • Joint manipulations are used to restore proper alignment and movement in the joints. Joints are areas where energy accumulates in the body. Restoring proper alignment not only corrects structural imbalances and reduces compensation patterns but also improves energy flow through local meridians, which supports the function of corresponding organ systems.

  • Somatic Reeducation & Craniosacral Therapy: These techniques use gentle touch and positioning to help the body relax. Often, a weak or injured area stays tense as a protective response. Indirect bodywork helps "reassure" the body that it can relax, allowing it to find a new setpoint with less tension and more ease.

  • TuiNa: A traditional Chinese therapeutic massage focused on releasing blockages using Chinese medicine anatomy and targeted deep pressure.

Shiatsu: A Japanese form of bodywork based in Chinese medicine that works with the whole body to relieve tension, improve circulation, and support overall flow.

Scar Tissue Massage: A deep, targeted approach that addresses scar tissue and adhesions from past injuries, overuse, or chronic postural strain.

Cupping: Glass cups create gentle suction to draw blood to the surface, improving circulation and immune response. Especially helpful for chronic tension, old injuries, and acute conditions like colds or flu.

Gua Sha: A scraping technique that promotes circulation and releases surface-level tension, particularly helpful for nervous system stress and stagnation.

Acupuncture &
Herbal Medicine

The body’s meridian system is created by the intersection of the bioelectromagnetic field from the various organs, structures, nerves, and cells in the body. As they overlap a grid is formed and nodes of energy accumulate, outlining the meridians, or channels of Chinese medicine anatomy. Qi is the energy that flows through this system.

  • Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine, sterile needles into specific points along the body’s meridians to regulate the flow of Qi and promote healing. It can support treatment for a wide range of conditions and is particularly effective for pain and nervous system disorders.

Moxibustion is a complementary therapy in which dried mugwort (moxa) is burned on or near acupuncture points. The gentle warmth stimulates circulation, enhances Qi flow, relieves pain, and strengthens the body’s defenses.

While acupuncture often focuses on moving and clearing energy, moxibustion is more tonifying and warming. Used together, these techniques can both clear blockages and support the body’s vitality.

  • Herbal medicine is a cornerstone of Chinese medicine, using plants, minerals, and animal products to restore balance and support healing. As a regenerative therapy, it not only addresses disease but also helps rebuild and strengthen damaged systems, supporting conditions such as liver, kidney, and heart dysfunction.

All herbal treatments are personalized, with formulas tailored to your constitution and current state of health to restore vitality and balance.

Regenerative
Injection Therapies

Regenerative injection therapies support healing and pain reduction by stimulating tissue and nerve repair.

B12 Injections: Vitamin B12 supports nerve health, energy, and vitality, and can help break down scar tissue and release adhesions.

Perineural Injections: A low-dose dextrose solution is injected around irritated nerves to reduce inflammation and support healthy nerve and muscle function.

Injections can also be placed into acupuncture points for prolonged stimulation—similar to the traditional practice of “burying the needle.

Other Modalities

  • UNDA homeopathic therapy, also known as Biotherapeutic Drainage, uses highly diluted remedies to support the body’s natural healing and detoxification processes. It is especially helpful for chronic conditions and overall wellness.

UNDA remedies work by rebalancing the body’s energetic system, supporting natural elimination pathways, and addressing underlying causes of illness—helping guide the body back toward balance and optimal health.

  • Ideally, nutrients come from whole foods, but modern agriculture, food processing, and dietary patterns often make this difficult. Nutraceutical supplements—such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other bioactive compounds—help fill these gaps when diet alone isn’t enough.

In certain cases, the body also benefits from higher-than-normal doses of specific nutrients to support healing. In my practice, I use evidence-based nutraceuticals alongside Chinese herbal medicine to address deficiencies and support recovery—providing the building blocks that allow the body to heal.

  • Proper nutrition and lifestyle choices are foundational to health. We provide personalized dietary recommendations and lifestyle adjustments based on traditional wisdom and modern research. By aligning your eating habits, exercise routine, sleep patterns, and stress management techniques with your body’s natural rhythms, we help you achieve greater vitality, energy, and long-term well-being.
